What's in a Name?

Okay, so recently I have started two new series of really good books. I love them! But the annoying thing is how stupid their names are. Seriously, I can't tell people the names of the books it's to embarrassing! They are really good books and I love them to death but I really want to rename them! So, I bet you're wondering what the names are. Fine, fine, I'll tell you but don't judge me on them, I know the names are retarded. The books I was reading before the library decided they wouldn't get any more in that series (So sad what will I do now?) were called the Clique books. The first one was called The Clique, then comes Best Friends for Never, then Revenge of the Wannabes, Invasion of the Boy Snatchers, The Pretty Committee Strikes Back and the one I'm trying to get is called Dial L for Loser. Yep. I know, the worst names ever! Remember don't judge them until you've read them! Now, the books that I'm reading right now also have a really bad representation of the books. I finished the first one, I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have To Kill You. Now I'm reading the second one called, Cross My Heart And Hope To Spy. I know right! I'm not making this up! These are seriously great books with horrible names! Also I just found out the next book of those I'd Tell You I Love You books is called Don't Judge a Girl by Her Cover. Which kind of goes along with my theme!

Parties, Springs, and Football

So this weekend has been crazy! First on Friday I went over to my friend Lucia's house to get ready for a party we were going to. We got all party ready and actually did some homework we said we were going to do for Drama. We arrived at 6:00 at Tori's house. The birthday party was pretty fun. We had barbecue and played games.

Lucia and I had to leave early at 7:30. She had to go to Cheer party and I had to go to a hot springs place with Emilye, Ana, and Ana's boyfriend Danny. He's really outdoorsy and all so he wanted to take us to a hot springs. We had to leave at 7:30 because it takes like and hour and a half to get there. For those who don't know a hot spring is a like a 30 ft deep pond with warm water. We just sat on mossy rocks in the water or waded around. There were two guys there when we came and after like an hour a group of people came, one even scubadived. After a couple of hours we decided to leave. Em and I fell asleep as we rode home.

On Saturday I went to the BYU against UNM. It was sweet! I got all sparkily and had Y on both my cheaks with blue glitter. I had blue eyeshadow on my eyelids and another Y on my nose/forehead. It was an awesome game. I remember #88 made two touchdowns and my boy Collie, #9 made one and some sweet catches! The only anoying thing was when two Ute fans came and sat a little ways away. But it was fun glarring at them and smiling when we did something good. All in all it was really fun, and anyone who was disapointed with the 21-3 win, I really don't care. A win is a win. So be happy! (And Dana after this post is old I swear I will do the Tag.)

My Life Is Complete

Okay, so I just finished the Twilight Saga yesterday. The last book was AMAZING! Even though I don't know how I feel about the whole Jacob and Renesme thing. At first I was totally grossed out and wanted Jake to leave and never come back. From that I went to being okay but wanting him to stop being obsessive and go home once in a while!! But now I guess I'm okay with him. I still think that Twilight was the best book I've ever read. Breaking Dawn comes in a close 2nd and Harry Potter and The Uglies Trilogy neck and neck for 3rd. If you haven't read one of those series read them! So Yep I'm pretty dang happy about life now!!

Sorry, Sorry!

I'm sorry, I haven't updated in a while. Probably because I got sucked into Twilight a week ago. Yep, I'm a Twilight Vampire freak now! I did it so my friend Lucia would read Harry Potter. Now I'm on Breaking Dawn and I LOVE it! I have always hated Jacob to death! But in this book I'm not hatting him as much. **Spoilers Ahead** I actually kind of like him!! It's because he's not being a total jerk like normal, he knows more about vampires and isn't so mean to them. (But I'm only like on page 320 or something so he could do something to make me hate him.) I also love Seth! He's so cute and funny. I love that he's best friends with Edward!

Anyhow, I've just really got caught all up in school and I've been suffering from a cold. I hate colds! But the plus is that Lucia feels soooo bad about giving it to me she's been nursing me to health. In Drama if i do so much as to blow my nose she grabs a halls. If I cough she goes about how sorry she is. I try not to say anything about it around her to make her think it's left! She keep saying that I should give it back to her. Hopefully I'll get over it. She's a really great friend though! See ya!

Greek Mythology

Okay here are my basic views of Greek Mythology. If I don't mention someone that just means I don't care about them. I don't like Hera (Zeus's wife). She stands for marriage, children, and family. But not really! She's madly jealous and sneaks around in disguise messing up other god's lives. She says she's loves family and children but she only loves a perfect family. She even threw her son Hephaestus of Mt Olympus when he was a baby because he was deformed. I really hate her. I like Apollo a lot. He's the god of light and truth. He's also the twin of Artemis. I don't like her since she turned into a Huntress. But I like that Artemis is all for girl power. I of course don't like Ares the god of war, who does? Hephaestus is okay but a little bit of a hot head. Who could really blame him? He's gotten so mistreated. His wife Aphrodite (Goddess of love, beauty etc.) cheats on him with Ares all the time. She was forced to marry Hephaestus and hates his deformities so that's why. I kind of like Hermes. But he's the god of stealing, so not the best guy. But he also is the messenger god and the god of travel among other things. I really like Poseidon but that might just be because I'm reading a little about him in my book. He's the god of the sea and he made the horse out of sea foam. (So Bethany should like him.) Just to make sure you people don't freak out, I don't actually think Greek Mythology is real. I just think it's interesting. So thats my basic view of Greek Mythology.

School Blues

Today was the first day of school. All of my teachers a pretty cool and I friends in almost every class. But I still hate school! 1st period I have Algebra Advanced. The funny thing is that last year I had Prealgebra Advanced. And this year we have the exact same students in the class! So that's pretty cool. My teacher is awesome for the class as well! 2nd period I have Drama 2, then 3rd I have Science. I like my Science teacher she's actually nice. For 4th period I T.A (Teacher Assistant) for her. So I don't even have to leave. She's awesome to her T.As. She lets us eat or drink whatever. Then I go to lunch! 1st lunch!!!! With all the 7th graders!!! But I have Lucia, Jenny and Emily to get me through. Then after lunch I have US History, and 6th I have Photography. I absolutely love photography! My teacher is a little cucucachoo though. My last period is English. Which is nice. But I have a guy that likes me in that class. He's whatever, I wouldn't ever like him though. So yep that's my day!

Mini Flood

Okay so today we had a mini flood! My mom left the dripping hose that waters her garden on and forgot about it. Well the soil got flooded and the water ended up going into our window well. When it got too full in the window well, of course it spilled out into Emilye's room. By the time my mom remembered it had been many hours. The window well was full pretty high with water and a circle of the carpet was soaked. My mom and sister, Ana worked on dumping out the water on the grass. I was on damage control for Em's room. I put towels on the window ledge and towels in trash cans to grab the water falling. I made a circle around the wetness with towels to make sure it didn't spread. I was running mad up and down the stars with new towel and stuff. The trash bin idea was genius by the way. My dad came home and got a WetVac from a neighbor. Right now the carpets ripped up and fans are airing out the pads under them.

Britt's Blog

Well how could you go wrong with an alliteration? So this is me writing about me and my life. I'm writing especially because I moved from California to Utah 2 years ago and I want my friends to know what I'm up to. You also have to know that I hate it here in Utah or you wont understand my blog or my life. But my now favorite saying is that, 'You can take the person out of Humboldt but you can't take Humboldt out of the person.' (Courtesy of Hannah Medley) That's where I grew up, Eureka California.
